Why homeschool parents pick us

  • No clinical training required — the tool guides the practice
  • Works on any device, no downloads or installs
  • Personalized stories and worksheets for any target sound
  • Track which sounds your child has mastered over time

Homeschooling speech can feel like guesswork — you know your child needs practice, but you don't have an SLP in the room. Here's how the platform closes that gap.

You're not sure if your child is actually saying sounds correctly.

Built-in pronunciation scoring listens to your child and gives instant accuracy feedback at the word and sound level — so you get a second opinion without scheduling an appointment.

Drill worksheets get boring fast and practice turns into a fight.

Arcade-style games and personalized stories make practice feel like play, so your child stays motivated through far more repetitions than flashcards ever get.

You're piecing together free printables and YouTube videos from a dozen places.

Everything lives in one platform — generate sound-loaded reading passages, articulation drill sheets, and games for any target sound in seconds.

How homeschool families use it

1

Pick the target sound

Choose the sound your child is working on. Not sure where to start? Our sound library and development chart show what's typical at each age.

2

Practice through play

Your child practices with pronunciation games, reads a personalized story aloud, or works a printable worksheet — 10 focused minutes is plenty.

3

Review the data

Check the progress page to see which sounds are improving and which need more reps, then adjust tomorrow's practice accordingly.

Frequently Asked Questions — Homeschoolers

Do I need any speech therapy training to use this?
No. The platform is designed for parents. It picks target words, listens to your child, and scores pronunciation automatically — you just guide the practice. If your child has a complex speech disorder, we always recommend an evaluation with a licensed speech-language pathologist; SpeechTherapyMagic is a practice and engagement tool, not a replacement for diagnosis or treatment.
Can this replace a speech-language pathologist?
It's not a substitute for professional evaluation or therapy. Many homeschool families use it to add daily practice between SLP sessions, or to reinforce sounds their child is already working on. If you suspect a speech or language delay, start with a licensed SLP evaluation.
What ages is it for?
It works best for children roughly ages 4 to 12 who are practicing specific speech sounds. The games, stories, and reading passages scale to your child's reading level.
How much does it cost?
You can start free and explore the games, stories, and pronunciation practice. A Pro plan unlocks higher monthly limits and additional tools — see the pricing page for current details.
Will it work on our Chromebook / iPad?
Yes. It runs entirely in the browser with nothing to install. It works on Chromebooks, iPads, laptops, and phones, and the microphone-based pronunciation scoring works in Safari and Chrome.
