The rain tapped on the roof as Mia pulled on her red boots. “Ready, Boots?” she asked. The little dog wagged his tail and ran to the door.

How it works

Three steps, no setup

  1. 01

    Describe the story

Pirates, dinosaurs, a trip to grandma’s: a sentence is enough. Pick the sound to practise and the child it is for.

  2. 02

    We write and illustrate it

A story pitched at their age, with the target sound loaded into the words and a matching illustration on every page.

  3. 03

    Read and practise

Target words are highlighted so you both know where to slow down. Tap to hear a page read aloud, or read it yourselves.

What you get

Sound-loaded on purpose

The target sound appears again and again in natural words, at the position you pick: initial, medial or final.

About your child

Their name, their interests, their favourite animal. A story about them gets read more than once.

Original illustrations

Every page has its own picture in a consistent style, so it reads like a real book, not a worksheet.

Written for their age

Sentence length and vocabulary follow the child’s age from their profile, so a five-year-old and a nine-year-old get different stories for the same sound.

Read-aloud narration

Tap to hear a page read aloud, so a non-reader can follow along and repeat the target words.

Save and share

Stories stay in your library. Share a read-only link with a co-parent or a therapist.

Who it's for

Parents

Bedtime reading that doubles as practice. A story about their own dog is a story they will ask for again.

SLPs

A carry-over activity in a minute: sound-loaded reading at the right level, sent home with the target words already marked.

Teachers

Differentiated reading that hits a speech goal at the same time. Works on a shared screen or a tablet.

Questions

How long does a story take to make?

About a minute. The text is written first, then each page is illustrated. You can start reading page one while the later pictures finish.

Is the story pitched at my child’s level?

Stories are written for the age on the child’s profile: shorter sentences and simpler words for a four-year-old, more for a nine-year-old. The target sound is loaded in either way.

How many stories can I make?

One free story every month on the free plan. Pro includes 20 stories a month, and everything you have made stays in your library.

Are the illustrations appropriate for kids?

Yes. The art style is consistent, friendly and made for children. Stories are generated inside guardrails written for a young audience.

Can my child listen instead of read?

Yes. Every page can be read aloud with a tap, so a pre-reader can follow along and practise saying the target words.
