How to practice speech at home so your child looks forward to it
You were handed a list of words and told to practice daily. Lori B. Levy, M.A., CCC-SLP has spent twenty years showing families how to turn that list into something a child enjoys, and 45 minutes of it is yours, free.

What you'll learn
Five minutes a day beats an hour on Saturday
Why short, frequent practice moves a sound faster than one long session, and what a genuinely useful five minutes contains.
What makes kids want to practice
Three things every child needs from practice: the right level, a reason to care, and a way to win. Lori shows how to set up all three.
The play-based method
How to turn a word list into a game your child asks to play again. The same approach therapists use to get fifty repetitions from a child who agreed to ten.
A live demo, start to finish
Pronunciation feedback on a real attempt, a game, a story built around your child's target sound, and the progress view that shows how far they've come.
Q&A, bring your questions
The end is yours. Ask about your child, your routine, or anything from the class. Lori has heard most of them and enjoys the rest.
Who this is for
Parents with speech homework
The SLP sends exercises home and you want to get the most out of every one of them.
Parents on a waitlist
The evaluation is months out and you want to be doing something useful and safe in the meantime.
Homeschooling families
You're the teacher and the parent, and you'd like speech practice to fit into the day as easily as everything else.

Questions
- How much does it cost?
- Nothing. The class is free, and so is the replay. We run it because the fastest way to explain what SpeechTherapyMagic does is to show someone using it.
- Will there be a recording?
- Yes. Everyone who registers gets the replay by email afterwards, so register even if the time is awkward for you. The live session adds the Q&A; the replay has everything else.
- What do I need to join?
- An email address and a browser. If you'd like to follow along in the platform while Lori demonstrates, a free account takes a minute, and plenty of people simply watch.
- How long is it?
- About 45 minutes, plus questions. We hold the hour for you.
- Is this a therapy session for my child?
- It's a class for you. Your child is welcome to sit in, and can just as happily be elsewhere. It complements an evaluation or treatment by a licensed speech-language pathologist; if you have a concern about your child's speech, an SLP assessment is the right first step.
