Buyer’s guide for SLPs •

Best SLP Materials Subscriptions Compared (2026)

An SLP subscription buys you one of three things: a library of ready-made materials, a planning and data system, or interactive practice for the student. Most SLPs end up with one library and one tool. Here is what each costs and what you actually get.

The short answer

  1. 1Ultimate SLP — best for the most materials for the money. ($12.95/mo)
  2. 2SLP Now — best for materials plus planning and data in one place. ($29/mo or $249/yr)
  3. 3Speech Therapy Magic — best for interactive speech-sound practice with automatic scoring and data. ($9.99/mo or $79.99/yr after a 7-day trial)
  4. 4Boom Learning — best for SLPs who already buy Boom decks. ($6.99/mo + decks)
  5. 5The Digital SLP — best for no-print activities for SMART Boards and teletherapy. ($35/mo or $329/yr)
  6. 6Speechy Musings All Access Pass — best for research-based printables you download and keep. ($225/yr)
  7. 7Everyday Speech — best for a complete social-skills curriculum. ($599.99/yr)

For the most materials per dollar, Ultimate SLP. For materials plus planning and data, SLP Now. If what you need is students practising aloud with the scoring and data done for you, Speech Therapy Magic, usually alongside a library rather than instead of one.

The 7 picks, reviewed

1

Ultimate SLP

Best for: the most materials for the money

A web library of interactive games and real-photo flashcard decks covering articulation, language and social skills from preschool to high school.

Price
$12.95/month or $139.92/year, with a 14-day free trial. Group subscriptions are quoted.
Platform
Web browser.

Honest limitation: No progress tracking or planning tools, so data collection stays on you.

2

SLP Now

Best for: materials plus planning and data in one place

More than 6,000 materials (skill packs, thematic and literacy units) plus a therapy planner, live data collection, progress charts and HIPAA-compliant storage. One membership, no tiers.

Price
$29/month or $249/year, with a 14-day free trial (unlimited students and sessions, up to 5 material downloads, no card). Districts can pay by purchase order.
Platform
Web browser, with printables.

Honest limitation: The trial caps you at 5 downloads, which is not much to judge a 6,000-item library on.

3

Speech Therapy MagicOur product

Best for: interactive speech-sound practice with automatic scoring and data

Beanstalk Bounce: the child says the word on the golden leaf to keep climbing

Speech and language games where the student says each word into the microphone and gets a score saved to their profile by sound and position, plus a deck builder (Magic Studio) with PIN sharing, illustrated target-sound stories, printable worksheets and home practice links.

Price
A 7-day free trial of everything with no card needed, then $9.99/month or $79.99/year ($6.67/month billed yearly). There is no free plan.
Platform
Web browser on iPad, iPhone, Android, Chromebook, Mac and PC. No native app yet; it installs to the home screen as a web app.

What it does well

  • The only one here that listens to the student and scores each word
  • Progress by sound and session is recorded while the student plays
  • Build your own decks; students join by PIN with no account

Honest limitation: Not a big materials library or a planning system, and 3 student profiles are included (extras $4.99/month each, up to 10). The pronunciation score is a practice signal, not a diagnosis. It scores against a fixed set of speech sounds, so a distortion (an almost-right R, a lisped S) is not reliably told apart from a correct sound, and an adult's ear still decides. Our published benchmark shows where it falls short.

4

Boom Learning

Best for: SLPs who already buy Boom decks

A platform for self-checking digital task cards. The membership unlocks classrooms, student seats and reports; the decks themselves are bought in the Boom Store.

Price
Free Limited; Core $29.99/year; Premium $6.99/month or $49.99/year; Publisher $69.99/year. School plans (Passport, Access+) are quote-only.
Platform
Web browser plus Boom's tablet apps.

Honest limitation: The cheapest membership here, but it includes no content: every deck costs extra.

5

The Digital SLP

Best for: no-print activities for SMART Boards and teletherapy

More than 2,000 interactive no-print activities with QuickLinks to share with students. A caseload planner is in beta.

Price
$35/month, $89 per quarter or $329/year, with a 30-day free trial (some features are off during the trial).
Platform
Web browser on any tablet, computer or SMART Board.

Honest limitation: The most expensive general library here, and the monthly plan includes only 5 QuickLinks a month.

6

Speechy Musings All Access Pass

Best for: research-based printables you download and keep

Unlimited downloads of every Speechy Musings resource (articulation and phonology, language units, story units, AAC tools, wordless picture books) for one SLP, including new releases.

Price
$225/year, renewing yearly. No monthly option and no refunds. Purchase orders accepted.
Platform
Downloadable printables and digital files.

Honest limitation: Annual only with no refunds, and when the pass lapses you can no longer download (files you already have keep working).

7

Everyday Speech

Best for: a complete social-skills curriculum

Video modelling, games and worksheets in sequenced social-communication units, with pre and post assessments and progress tracking.

Price
$599.99 per user per year, or $839.88 a year billed monthly, with a 30-day free trial. School and district pricing is quoted.
Platform
Web browser.

Honest limitation: Several times the price of the others, and social skills only.

What a school year really costs

If you pay monthly only during the school year, ten months is the fair comparison: Ultimate SLP comes to about $130, SLP Now $290, The Digital SLP $350 and Speech Therapy Magic $99.90. On annual plans, Boom Premium is the cheapest at $49.99 before decks, then Speech Therapy Magic, Ultimate SLP, Speechy Musings, SLP Now, The Digital SLP and Everyday Speech.

Stacking two subscriptions is common and reasonable: one materials library for variety, plus one tool for the job your library does not do, whether that is planning and data (SLP Now, SLP Toolkit) or practice the student does aloud with feedback (Speech Therapy Magic).

How we chose

We make Speech Therapy Magic, so read our own entry with the scepticism you would give any vendor writing about itself. We placed it where we think it honestly fits for this buyer, which is not always first, and every entry, ours included, carries a real limitation.

For this guide we weighed:

  • Published price for one SLP, monthly and yearly
  • What the trial actually lets you test
  • What is included versus sold on top
  • Whether student data is tracked, and by whom
  • Who it suits: school, private practice or teletherapy

Prices were read off each vendor’s own pricing page or App Store listing in October 2026. Where a vendor only quotes on request or shows prices in local currency, we say so rather than print a number we could not check. Nobody paid to be listed, and there are no affiliate links on this page. Found something out of date? Tell us on the contact page.
