Answering WH-questions is a core receptive and expressive language skill: it shows that a child understands what kind of information each question word asks for. "Who" wants a person, "what" wants a thing or action, "where" wants a place. Children with language delays often answer the wrong question type ("Where do you sleep?" → "At night") because they have not yet mapped the question word to its answer category.
This deck focuses on the three earliest-developing question words. Ten picture-supported multiple-choice cards present a question and three picture answers, so the child can succeed by understanding rather than by producing language. Three typed-answer cards then ask the child (or a helper) to write a one-word answer, moving toward expressive use. A final sort asks the child to file question cards under Who, What or Where, which directly tests the mapping the deck is trying to build.
The classroom theme and clear sans-serif text make it readable on a small screen.

How to Use It
Read each question aloud even if the child can read; hearing the question word stressed ("WHO helps you…") is part of the teaching. After a correct answer, ask the child to say the whole answer in a sentence: "A doctor helps me when I am sick."
On a wrong answer, name the category out loud: "Who means a person. Which of these is a person?" and let them try again — the card allows a second attempt.
The sort card at the end is a good quick probe for whether the concept has transferred. If the child sorts all questions correctly, they are ready for a when/why/how deck.

Questions About WH-Questions: Who, What, Where
Why only who, what and where?
Those three are acquired first (typically by age three to four) and share a concrete answer type. When, why and how ask for abstract answers and are usually taught once the first three are solid.
Is there a version with when, why and how?
Not yet as a first-party deck, but you can save this one and add cards in Magic Studio using the same multiple-choice recipe.
Can a non-reader play it?
Yes — every answer choice on the ten quiz cards is a picture, so an adult reads the question and the child taps. The three typed-answer cards need a helper to type.
How long does it take?
About ten minutes for all sixteen cards. It is fine to split it over two sessions; progress is saved when you play from your library.
